Stelly
Inspired by music and geometry, the works of Bulgarian artist Stelly, features clean geometrical shapes, color contrasts such as light and dark, cold and warm, and a lyrical quality that makes the work dance across the canvas.
Motivated by the role of the artist to "present something new, something different than the reality we see", Stelly's delicate and refined work is full ofdream-like illogicality, inconsistency and symbolism. The viewer is encouraged to leave the comprehension of the shapes and images to imagination and intuition and enjoy the music of the colors.
Born in Bulgaria in 1964, Stelly graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1993. In 1994 he became a member of Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques and the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
His works can be found in the Bulgarian National Gallery and in private collections across Europe, USA and Japan.
